With over 10,000 home fires in Australia per year photoelectric smoke alarms are a valuable safety feature in every Australian home.
The Queensland Government in January 2017 imposed additional obligations to domestic property owners & managers, the new smoke alarm legislation will have an impact on all rental properties by 2022 and all owner-occupied properties by 2027.

The Queensland legislation was developed following Coronial recommendations handed down after the 2011 Slacks Creek fatal house fire which claimed 11 lives.
This legislation is viewed as leading edge legislation currently being looked at by State Governments Australia wide.
